A pillow with a bow

I was a busy girl this weekend. On top of the EAT sign I showed you yesterday, I also made a lovely pillow for my living room. What do you think:

She is pretty, isn't she?!

Supplies:

1 yard of main fabric (you will have some left depending on the size of pillow you are making)
1 yard of coordinating fabric (you will also have some left of this)
1 pillow form (or you can be like me and grab a pillow out of the linen closet that has been stuffed in there for two years and give its life a new meaning)
Coordinating thread

Place pillow on top of fabric and measure about an inch an a half away from it on each side. Make two squares of fabric in this size.

With both pieces facing each other (inside is on the outside). Sew a straight stitch down three corners of the soon to be pillow.
Turn right side out. Fit pillow into the casing. If it isn't snug around the pillow, you can sew another straight stitch down the inside to make the casing smaller.
Fold under the bottom and iron down. Sew down this last corner.

Onto the bow. Take one long strip of fabric (I just cut about 12 inch width by the longest portion possible).
Make tubing out of it by folding in half (inside out) and sewing a straight stitch down the outer edge. Now turn right side out.
 Make into a bow
Hand sew it onto the pillow in the place you deem fit.
Now try to decide where your pillow will go. Over here:
Or on this chair, that will soon be reupholstered:

Where should my new pillows home be?

What a fun pillow! You were busy this weekend...plus the bathroom. I think I like it on the chair by your window, but wherever you put it, it will look awesome. You always do such a great job!

LOVE it! It's very Paris-ish (totally made that word up). I think it looks great next to that red pillow.

I am very fond, that is to say, I LOVE bows and I love this big shiny one that you made.
I'm going to remember how to do it, too!

This pillow is so adorable! I have two of those pillows hiding in my closet waiting for new life. I love this idea!
