Vinegar is AMAZING

Did you know there are so many things you can do with vinegar? If you have some vinegar and baking soda you may not need any other cleaning products. Seriously. Another bonus, they are both super cheap!

Here are some ways I personally use vinegar to clean:

Cleaning stainless steel: One part vinegar, one part water. Then I buff with some baby oil. This works perfectly!

Cleaning stainless pans: Who needs barkeepers friend to make your stainless steel pans looks brand new again. Soak in vinegar for ten to fifteen minutes. Then clean with dish soap. Voila! Brand new pans!

Cleaning carpets/rugs: One part vinegar one part water and a bit of baking soda. Great carpet cleaner and it deoderizes any smell.

Clean your dishwasher: Put vinegar in the soap dispenser and run on a light cycle. Your inside of your dishwasher will sparkle.

Clean your washing machine: Pour vinegar in soap dispenser and run a cycle. It will tak out any smell you may have in your machine, which are really prevelant in front loaders.

Get out perspiration stains: One part vingar to two parts water. Let soak and wash. Brand new shirt!

Remove hard water stains on faucets. Soak a cloth in vinegar and let sit on back of faucet. Stains should remove easily.

Unclog a drain: some baking soda and a cup of vinegar. Rinse with water

Clean coffee maker: fill with vinegar and run until all vinegar flows through. run again with just water to get vinegar taste out.

Clean the bathroom. Rid your bathroom of soap scum and bacteria by using full strength vinegar. Wipe clean.

This is just a small list of the uses of vinegar, it's what I use it for. What are some things you use vinegar for?

I heart vinegar :) Another one of my favorite uses is getting rid of bug bites. Half water, half vinegar solution. Dip a cotton ball in the solution, tape cotton ball to your bug bite with a bandaid. The itch is instantly gone and your bite will be dramatically better in the morning :) And since we live in Florida (land of all big bugs), I got through this process LOTS!

I am always singing the praises of vinegar - it is good for bites and I also use it in laundry (when kids have been sick) - extension of your cleaning laundry tip. I have been using olive oil to clean my stainless steel appliances but I am sure baby oil would smell so much better :)
