How do you do it? Seriously!? Some of you out there make stenciling look like it is a nice walk in the park on a sunny breezy day. Yeah um SIKE! Stenciling is a pain in the you know what! It is about impossible to keep it straight and thanks to my wonderful textured walls, it bleeds through. So as you can see I am a little annoyed :). Don't worry I am a determined person. Any tips or tricks anyone out there could give me would be well appreciated. Hey! I have a great idea! If you are feeling really helpful, how about coming over and finishing this wall for me! Please?! Alright crickets on that one......... Here is a sneak peak at what I have been working on for the past two days (and which will probably take me another month or so to finish, so I hope you aren't eager to see the end result).
I have spent about 3 hours and only have about a four by eight foot area covered. I have a TON of touch ups to do and probably about 10 more hours of stenciling. Ughhh! Wish me luck!

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness my post came back!!!! Yay!!!! Blogger you drive me nuts sometimes! Thanks Andie! I love how it looks but geez it's a lot of work! I was going to stencil a wall In my bedroom, but I'm having second thoughts now!
ReplyDeleteTHANK GOD someone else is having the same issues I did! Everyone is like, oh I did it in a day with 4 kids running around, geez. It's HARD! Stick with it, the end result is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! I am too chicken to tackle this project. I can't handle that much teeny tiny detail. I would go CRAZY! Picture me losing it after about two stencils and just throwing the paint at the wall. YOU CAN DO IT! I can't wait to see the reveal!!
ReplyDeleteI still love it!! It is going to look amazing and be so worth it. If anyone can do it, it's you! Have you gotten anymore done?
