A happy ending for a sad little table

Before I get to the post, I would like to share with you that my burlap matted frames AND my rustic clock were featured on Knock Off Decor over the long weekend. So, if you are a new follower from there, welcome! If you are a fabulous old follower, do check out my features HERE.

On to the post. Remember the little 8 dollar side table a picked up at Goodwill a couple weeks ago? If not, here is a before pic for ya!

This poor thing was battered and bruised. There were scratches and marks everywhere and the legs were very loose. No wonder it was 8 dollars! I saw hope for this little guy. I had a vision to make him special again. After much sanding, staining, painting, sanding, waxing, and couple coats of poly, here he is all happy in his new home:

I actually decided to stain the little knobby things on front after I had it in place. ( I actually hadn't used poly or wax yet either). Hence the reason the decorations are off now. It's still drying:

Look how well he gets along with the rest of the room. So lovely!
I am so loving how this room has come together. I am almost finished.....almost.
